For more than two decades, my work has taken me to floodplains, burn scars, and infrastructure failures across the United States and beyond. Field Notes is where I reflect on what those experiences, and the questions they continue to raise, can teach us about the landscapes we inherit, the communities we shape, and the responsibility of being good stewards of both.
